Feet are often a neglected part of the body. We have increasingly sedentary lifestyles which means the feet muscles are not worked very much. When we do walk around, our feet support the weight of our entire body. And how many times have you squeezed your feet into an uncomfortable pair of shoes just because it made the outfit? (Come on, we’ve all done it at least once!)
A foot massage is an excellent way to pamper your tired and worn out feet.
For the massage, you will remove both your socks and shoes and relax in a comfortable chair while the therapist sits at your feet. Our therapists will knead and massage all parts of your feet from heels to toes.
As your feet are massaged, you will feel the release of stress and tension while the various pressure points on your feet are worked. Your muscles will feel less sore as they are stretched and worked, and blood circulation increases. As your circulation improves, oxygen and nutrients make their way into your cells and wastes and toxins are removed, improving your mood and overall health.
Within your feet are points called solar plexus reflex. These points store up stress. When the therapist massages these points, stress is released, decreasing overall stress level an increasing your body’s ability to tolerate stress.
